A woman with a West African accent phoned me at 4.30 pm on 12th July 2012. She asked me how my "claim" was progressing and whether she could help. Obviously a telemarketing call because there was the usual buzz of conversation in the background. The annoying thing is that I m on the Telephone Preference List of people who should *NOT* be contacted by telemarketers. Unfortunately, it doesn t seem to have worked in this case. This number called me and said they were from Windows Service desk, I have worked in the IT industry for a long time and I knew that this was a spoof call, I hung up and rang the number back to be answered by someone completely different they did not say what the company was when I questioned them they became defensive, these people are definately scammers please be aware.
