Claims to be from EE promotions, I thought it was true as I did recently ask EE to call me as I was in the realm for an upgrade. Insurance - they are insurance brokers. Can't remember their name. I was their customer 2 years ago but then found out from another broker (when I switched life policy) what they promised me will never going to happen, like having life policy till age of 80 etc., so seems they are set on selling only, not advising correctly. A bit pushy to just review your circumstances, to keep you on the line. Said politely to the lady I'm not interested in doing a review, that I'm working and not having time for this

TAXES / HMRC Past Due Credit Solution, a HMRC debt collector. The call is legit but be prepared to have them not listen to you and keep calling days later about the same things.

He wanted me to switch on computers and check broadband speed etc. Of course I did not comply and hung up. I have been called several times yesterday back to back from firstly a London number twice, then twice from private number and this one today. They all start by saying am I ****** when I ask who they are they mumble something then ask me if I own or rent my property. The person who called today was female and I could actually understand what she said, except for the initial mumble. The first two London calls where listed as suspected spam, however, some of calls in this category have been bona fide.

Fraud - I think. A male with I think and Asian accent called from this number. He asked for me by name and said he was calling from Microsoft then asked if I was the main user of the computer in my hone. I asked "Which Computer is that then?" and he hung up. Another number check site has lots of people checking this number and it appears to be from various different places so I think it must be an attempt to access a persons computer or something like that.
Housing disrepair scam I didn't answer them, but I phoned back and instantly Asian woman says my name ,so I decided to play along for a little while, until she asked me for personal details so I gave her the address of my local police station

SCAM Fraud - Said they were from Sky offering refund because of issues with phone and internet- We don't have any sky package and the person had quoted the family name but were sketchy with first name and even misspelt it when I was pushing who they wanted to talk to and then they hanged up when I said it was a scam call.
Anyone who rings and hangs up immediately in my mind is a scammer.
