Called re: a (fictional) car crash that my housemate was supposedly in (bill payer for the phone line). Only have his title and his last name. When asked when the accident happened they say 'in the last few years' and when asked for the address of the company they only say 'South West London'. When I said that we were registered with the Telphone Preference Service and the unsolicited call was illegal and could they add the number to their Do Not Call list, they hung up

He asked me to confirm if I was Mrs A............. of my address. Saying he had a message to call about the insurance on my house. I said I did not know who he was and he said is that Mrs A of my address again and that he had just started work but it was given to him by a previous colleague. Absolutely wrong. I just hung up. Some sort of scam.
A few calls this week. Silent call - feels dodgy. When you pick up, there is silence on the other end, then there is a sound like they've hung up, but the call stays connected, so you have to end it or they can still hear you.
