SCAM OFFERING A FREE BOILER.........Elderly parents had a letter, but no phone calls, quoting this number 0800 433 7839 to ring for a free boiler, and other energy saving grants. Uses their Local District Council's name at top of the letter to look like it's from them. IT IS NOT. This number answers as The Funding Helpline, of which there is not trace on Google. The company sending the letter are Energy Saving Grants Ltd, from Rochdale, directors are a young husband and wife and been trading only since June

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1224924xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with usuall stuff - accident chasers/PPI/insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Guys did they call you with the same or something new?
