TAXES / HMRC recorded message saying department of work and pensions, then I hung up. Likely a scam. DWP will not ring from mobile.

Oh dear, the Russians got my national insurance number, which is involved in criminal activity and they will arrest me if I don’t talk to one of their investigators. Needless to say I didn’t press 1 on my phone, just end the call !

This number and many others have been calling me for a couple of months. The company is Beneficial Opinions (http://beneficialopinions.co.uk/). I have asked to be removed from their database every time they call (sometimes 4 times a day) but to no avail. I have also called them back and the message says that due to a technical failure they are unable to answer my call but if I would like to be removed I could call 0161 360 0000 which i did. Fingers crossed this will work. Next step is to report the to the T

I answered questions from a "Researcher" whilst waiting for my flight at Alicante Airport. She stated I will be entered for a holiday Draw. I did not hold any hope but humoured the woman who said I will not be contacted back in the UK This was 2 years ago and am still being pestered. Thankfully, network coverage is non-existent indoors where I live so it gets registered as a Missed Call. Still, very annoying.
