The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.

must of called us 20 times or more, claiming to be from different businesses each time they rang and different people. dont not trust them at all. The person who rings becomes very aggressive when questioned. you will have to block their number as they will not give up ringing.
Called to UK landline in Sussex. Pretended to be from the "call blocking office". Would not state which company. Persistent, would not identify himself. Sounded like an Asian call centre judging by background noise. Now on my 1572 block list.

There are some dodgy people going around London fixing stickers to peoples doorbells and front doors that say "24/7 LOCKSMITH 07379 253 353". There have been news reports that these type of stickers are used by criminals to identify which properties can later be burgled. This may or may not be the case with these stickers but any locksmith that advertises by sticking stickers on other peoples property without permission, are untrustworthy in my book. It does sound like a genuine Nat West survey and although I do not have an account with them some of my family do. I carried on to the first question and it wanted to know how long I was queuing on my last visit to Nat West. I then hung up as I don t know the answer.
