The call was allegedly from Sure Cover to revise my life insurance cover, then they said I was eligible for a better price and they tried to pass me to another department but I hang the call at that point. I searched and I found an article confirming it's a scam.

This seems to be a scam, someone pretending to be someone's child, saying 'Hi Mum, this is my new number. My phone doesn't turn on on anymore so now you can text and call me on this number'. My child would not write like this. Please be aware.

silent then hung up. Usually what happens is I get some silent calls before the influx of thick Indian accents asking about my phone in the proceeding days. aka fishing for operational phone numbers via an automated dialer.

"Click 1 if you've authorised these transactions, or 2 to speak to our fraud advisor", or similar message. I put the phone down.

Scam recording from my visa card Co advising 2 fraud transactions for big amts, called my card Co from no on bk of my card and no transactions have taken place, be careful all especially the elderly, try use a credit card at all times then transfer from Yr debit card to pay it, never take out he house Yr debit card, as bank don't always reimburse u for fraud, the credit card Co will if you have shown you took care reporting any suspicious activity and were careful with Yr details online. I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Also, I had not received any notificat

Have called me 3 times saying they were from EE. Stated that as a loyal EE customer I'm entitled to a 40% discount. However I don't use EE and told the Asian Gentlemen that. He them asked for my current provider. I asked him why? No answer and I then hung up
