I got scammed like the last two posters on Saturday 26th June, but at Frankley on the M5 at around 11.30am. I reported it to West Midlands Police and to Action Fraud but have not had a follow up from either yet. Silver Vauxhall VIG2342, very convincing and grateful manner, same story about returning from Belgium and needing money to get back to Ireland and feed his children, same mobile number (07721 950844) - also introduced me to his children and happy to show me his ID. I haven't even bothered contacting

This number called 6 times in less than 2 hours. Did not know number so didn t answer. When I phoned the number back, somebody answered with just "Hello", did not announce company name but lot of background noise. Definitely some sort of scam.

Apparent unsolicited mortgage marketing call. They identified themselves as "Mortgage Review". Refused to answer my questions about who they were and what they wanted and why they had called, insisting I should identify myself first.
