called Canadian # to try to sell stock trading services and just wouldn't take 'No' for an answer. The guy with moderate slavic/middle eastern blended accent insisted that trading stocks have no risk. That I'm not interested in that game at this time just wasn't accepted and I had to hang up to end the call when he was pushing to have me speak with a trader. As if I will take such a gamble with a cold call from overseas.

Truro dialling code but if you call back omitting the dialling code you get a message that the number is not valid.

Received a text today (18/02/16) saying I'm due an early upgrade, call this number to receive an iPad etc... I called EE directly and they confirmed they never sent out a text of that kind to me. All seems a little dodgy to me.

HMRC advises callers to report this to the Police at https://actionfraud.police.uk/report_phishing (recommended) or on 0300 123 2040 but it takes ages to get through.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 20331881xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident chasers, insurance marketing - "Have you been involved in a car accident that wasn't your fault?". Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Automated call, unusual activity on one of my accounts, received 0750 in the morning.

Asked someone unknown. Quickly hung up when I told him wrong number. No apologies. Also there was a considerable wait for the agent to be patched through.

Scammer! Said he was from BT and because of technical problems with my account he wanted to send me a new router and of course required all my account details. Told him I was with Sky not BT and he hung up.

RTA LEGAL accident scam

Spoke to a lady who informed me that I had popped up on their system as being owed money regarding PPI. She didn't skip a beat before moving straight on to ask if I had had been in any debt management plans or made bankrupt etc. Explained that I was not willing to give personal information and that I had already claimed my PPI back. She asked if I had received less than £1200 as that would be why I had appeared on their system. I informed her that we both knew that was rubbish and just marketing spiel

A window popped up with a beep which blocked our browser and said we needed to correct some error, in bold red letters was this support number that we ended up calling, seemed believable at first but as soon as the lady on the phone asked for our first and
