Then when he asked for the year I was born, I told him 1900 and he hung up. This number is from scammers in Birmingham wanting your bank details to repay you home appliance warranty overpayments that do not exist. Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. They tell you that you have overpaid and they are from the refund department and can only pay your refund directly into your bank account DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS. Received a call from this number, from someone saying they where a company called Stay Solutions that organised tours, and where looking for partners to link up with for accommodation for their tour clients. They didn't know my name, they didn't have my email address. I am a bed and breakfast, and they said it was for a group of 5. I can only take 4 persons in a booking. I was suspicious, and I think they are using this telephone number illegally, its a scam beware!

They just called me pretending to be from motability insurance asking about recent accident with my motability car. My car hasn’t been in an accident but is currently in for repair at the dealership following an RAC call out when my battery was flat and the car wouldn’t start. I don’t know how these scammers got my unlisted mobile number or even knew I have a motability car (which has a private plate on it). Someone has given them my personal information. Guy hung up when I was in mid sentence.
