Received a call purporting to be from BT advising that my BT Broadband was about to be shut down as my router had been hacked. Caller refused to give a call-back number and then offered to fix my router on line. 1471 check revealed 01267 60711 had not been recognised.

I am sick of this number ringing me 4 or 5 times a day I have just spoken to someone from here and threatened to sue them for harassment they say I have made enquiries regarding PPI which I never had told them they have 24hrs to tell me where my details have come from they are a company called CLAIMS FOR YOU NORTH MERRY BUSINESS CENTRE WEDWOOD ROAD LIVERPOOL L33 7UY.
Drives me mad all these Manchester numbers. I’ve blocked about now.Couldn’t even understand what he was saying but the pause before they spoke gave it away.
Regarding fraud
I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. So far the numbers who have called me are as follows: 01978 638019 01978 638253 01978 638486 01978 638995 I just wish I had bought a better landline phone to block these and other nuisance spam
