I called the Halifax on a safe number known to me to check out this number in question. They were not very helpful or interested, did say when they last called me, which didn't match these calls, so I said will they investigate this number and the reply was, Oh there are a lot of calls made making out they are from the Halifax, just use number on the back of your card. Caller started to ask about an all inclusive holiday I had supposedly had in past 2 years. I had another call on hold as I didn't know the number and wanted to make sure it wasn't something important.
