repeated calls from this number,silent with noise in the background. How do they get my ex -directory number?very disconcerting! makes me feel unsafe!

Several calls have been made to my mobile number over the past 2 weeks. No message has been left. I returned the call using a with held number and went through to a call centre environment who did not give the name of the company when answering an incoming call. The operator answered with their name only and sounded quite aggressive. I did not bother speaking to them and have blocked their number off my mobile phone.
