My wife answered the phone, and an apparently recorded message said that there was a suspicious transaction involving a £300 bill from Amazon which had not been paid. Then she was asked to press some number at which point she ended the call. I found the callers number by using 1471. The call appears to be a scam.

SCAM!!! Claimed to be Lenders List Uk ltd and tried to offer a loan with a upfront “insurance fee” of £20 thing is I didn’t even apply for a loan.
This number called today it was an automated voice saying my Amazon Prime subscription had expired and i had been charged £95 it said to press 1 or 2 as i do not have a prime account i knew it was a scam.

I was their customer 2 years ago but then found out from another broker (when I switched life policy) what they promised me will never going to happen, like having life policy till age of 80 etc., so seems they are set on selling only, not advising correctly. Then a text asking to send £1500.00 because they needed the money and because number was changed it would take 24 hrs for verification . Promised to pay the money back tomorrow.
