Claimed to be Visa ringing about fraudulent transactions on my account. First warning sign - Didn't know who I was. They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. So it would have been Lloyds, Halifax, barclaycard, etc

Somebody emailed me asking me to call them on this number saying they were at one of my addresses in London but couldn't gain access to the property to read a gas meter. On tracking the number it showed up as being in Manchester so nowhere near London anyway and I actually do not have any properties in London so I suspect a spam email to get me to call this telephone number.

Just another poor sod sitting in a cramped call-centre on minimum wage wanting to know if I d ever had PPI. Recorded voice message of a well spoken elderly gentlemen saying the call was from National Crime Agency, my national insurance number is linked to multiple crimes and I should press 1 to speak to an officer immediately. Clearly a bogus call, I doubt the National Crime Agency would ring from a mobile number. No idea what they are up to but nothing legal I dare say.
