This no is from someone providing loans and they say that you have cleared all checks and you have 100% been accepted for the loan you just need to pay £41 to make it a secured loan this is so they can see that they can afford the repayments but another company would only take a £1 to confirm your card is yours and working then they give u it back if what they say is what it's for a copy of your bank statement would be more than sufficient not and the caller id no is false SCAM

DON'T SPEAK if you don't recognise the number - JUST LISTEN, wait for them to speak first. If the caller just hangs up or only a crackling noise is heard and then hangs up, then congratulations you've just escaped being scammed. Well done!

SCAM Third Chelmsford number blocked today. They hung up when I answered but upon dialling the number displayed, was met with automated message saying CB Brokers or CD Brokers. Suspect it's the same scumbags who have been scamming my elderly mother for a number of years by signing her up for appliance insurance for appliances she doesn't own. I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.
