SCAM. Knew that I lived outside the UK, had my name and had my foreign mobile number. Called to say that they were helping Brits who lived outside the UK who may have been mis-sold financial products. I told them my partner worked for the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and the guy laughed and said "ah, probably not for you then". Polite enough but clearly the new type of "have you been mis-sold PPI" calls. Potentially a scam.

People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck - similar numbers are reported with PPI. Some idea who is it?

Called twice saying there was serious problems warnings to Microsoft from my computer. I told them to "go away Scammer", No No No he said. I hung up They called back same bloke, Indian accent.

Sajnos fáradt voltam, nem figyeltem, ráadásul volt is függőben lévő külföldi megrendelésem. Beleszaladtam a csapdába, megadtam az adatokat. Szerencsére gyorsan kapcsoltam és azonnal beléptem a bankomba, ahol lenulláztam a bankkártya limitemet. 01986684739 Caller (Paul Smith) with a very strong indian accent, claimed to be from Virgin Media technical team - did not do any security. Asked me what colour light was on WiFi box. I asked him why no security? He said he was regulated by OFCOM and not allowed to take any personal details. He claimed to have my service record number, all his calls are recorded, the call would not cost me anything and was calling to help me with issues with my internet that have flagged up on their system and malware. I got a call from the company pretending to be the Telephone preference service. They are very plausible. I was only alerted when they started to ask about my direct debit and wanted to confirm my card details. I refused saying I didn't know why they needed the details and ended the call.

Called us about our holiday wanting us to upgrade, they had no reference number and no proper details of the holiday, sounded like a scam. Do not give any card details over the phone to anyone so vague and anyone you did not ring on a genuine number. Calle

Illegal call from a fu**wit about a phony prize

Has rung 3 or times a day for several days. Initially I refused to answer as it was an unknown number and never left a message. Then one brief message was left, merely asking for my name but not announcing who was calling, so I have answered twice since, thrash it out with them and get them to leave me alone but each time it has been total silence. A call centre in Bridgend, judging by the code.
