The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. I haven't been in an accident at all so I asked her who had told her I'd had an accident and where did she get my number from. She ignored that and asked me again for details of the car accident.
