SCAM / SPAM This number rang on my mobile phone and after a few seconds delay a female voice with a northern English accent introduced herself by name and said she had information that I'd been involved in an accident that wasn't my fault and asked if this was true. I'm afraid I just shouted "GET LOST!" in response and hung up. TAXES / HMRC Recorded message alleging fraud case in my name. This would be alarming to elderly or vulnerable person.
Fraud - I was called off one number trying to get a security code that would reset my O2 account. when I refused to give the one time code to the lady she got aggressive. I said I would check with O2 customer service and if everything was ok would take up the offer. I was given this number as O2 customer services - IT IS NOT. I reported to O2 (202) and they confirmed that this was Fraud, and if I gave them the code they would have had access to my O2 account.
