SCAM Call received today 15th Feb 2021. Computerised call. Pretended to be from HMRC and that my name was recorded as a tax fraud and a warrant would be issued against me if I didn't press 1 now. I am an accountant in practice who has dealt with the HMRC for 30 years. This a SCAM. The HMRC will never call you like this on such matters. If you do owe money to HMRC only pay them through the secure channels listed on the government website and ensure it is your reference you are making the payment against.
I answered this call got a lady voice very quickly saying 'hello, this is (couldn't make it out) from (again couldn't make it out) then immediately I was put on hold with music playing. At this I immediately hung up.
Sub continental person said they would cut my PC off if i didnt reactivate my "Licence" of course i politely told them to Fuck off
They rung from Tunisia I didn’t know the number so turned my phone off. When I turned phone again they rang very persistently so I blocked their number.

Be aware, the line is for shared costs, DO NOT call them back. Very similar numbers are already reported with life insurance, PPI, pensions - mostly scam to gain your personal info. I would recommend to block this number. Does someone have any experience with this one?
