I got a call from the company pretending to be the Telephone preference service. They are very plausible. I was only alerted when they started to ask about my direct debit and wanted to confirm my card details. I refused saying I didn't know why they needed the details and ended the call.

Scammers don't entertain them!!

21st January 2021 1235 Scam ? Purported to be from BT claiming there had been suspicious activity on my land line and internet and stating I would be disconnected. "Please press 1 to resolve the issue" Interestingly the caller display showed an 01275 number, not mine, but 1471 gave 02082851070

Don't know who they are. Ring constantly without message. No message no reply is my view.

I got called in GERMANY by this number (00441174090). A Girl was in the line. She knew my full name and my home phone number. She told me in proper German with accent that I wanted to Invest with them. When I asked she told me that she called from a company called "profit central". I dont' know that company, never got in contact with anyone like it. That means they stole some of my personal data. That means the whole call is aimed at a scam.

SCAM claims to be from Amazon re an unauthorised payment. Rang Amazon from a separate phone, no call made, pending payments.

Had a couple of calls from these guys now, they describe themselves as a crime prevention unit but are nothing more than an advertising company, after 10 mins of them telling me they needed my help to name and shame illegal tradesmen I asked if they were anything to do with the police or actual crime prevention at all, at that point the guy got a bit nasty and I ended the call. Avoid.
