It said domestic and general services when I called back and got an answering machine. I can only assume a sales pitch, called me four times in two days.
An Asian woman called my home phone number purporting to be from BT. I cut the call short in case it was a scam.
SCAM claimed to be our Broadband providers (he did pull the right name out of fresh air) security department had indications that t a lot of files blocking the line to our router.Would I know why this was. I asked him not to phone again would report him to the police for harassment. He said was I accusing him of being a scam. To go to my computer he would tell me the license no from my account. I said no way. I asked him what (name of company) were going to do about the problem. He dropped the call.

We have had a lot of these calls all from the Telford area . these and other numbers are all nuisance cold calls . DO NOT ANS 01952 CALLS UNLESS THERE FROM SOMEONE YOU KNOW THERE. Guy with indian accent called himself "John" (obvious BS), said I was eligible for a replacement boiler under government scheme (like the Tories would do that). Told him I rent and don't have a boiler, he'd need to contact my estate agent. He had no idea what I was talking about. I repeated it a couple of times and in the end he gave up. Blocked the number so cannot comment on harrasment level but I am sure this is a scam.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8435687xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?
