A woman with a West African accent phoned me at 4.30 pm on 12th July 2012. She asked me how my "claim" was progressing and whether she could help. Obviously a telemarketing call because there was the usual buzz of conversation in the background. The annoying thing is that I m on the Telephone Preference List of people who should *NOT* be contacted by telemarketers. Unfortunately, it doesn t seem to have worked in this case. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with insurance marketing - ambulance chasers, car accidents. Block it...
Very aggressive man called yesterday and today from Capita Investments.(or similar sounding name). I asked him to remove my name from database, but he got very aggressive, and kept on interrupting me. The background noise sounds like a big office of telemarketers.
