Our number is registered with the TPS. This call came at 09:50 on Monday. Recorded (or synthesised) Northern English (Huddersfield?) male voice. Claimed to be calling from Amazon about illegal/suspicious "activity on your account", as a result of which a charge of over £1,000 to "the card linked to the account" had been stopped. Indian guy, giving the name of Peter Patel, asked for my bank derails, so he could refund me £6,500. From TSB, stated once he got my details he would transfer the money in to my account within a couple of hours, would not send cheque, only wanted details of bank, said the company was called Reclaim UK, couldn't find it on Internet, pretty sure this is a scam, BEWARE!

Retracting that last one!! I eventually traced this and it was a genuine charity donation - but the number isn't listed by that charity, so it couldn't be traced without going via the phone company. Bit daft, but there you go.

These people are criminals they don t mention if you do anything you will be charged a fortune in calling by pressing 9 - OFCOM I beg you to block these criminals, calling mercilessly every day, and even when you block their number, while all other numbers stay blocked this number cannot be blocked and continues to call, and for this reason this number is the most devious of them all.
