If they stay on the phone long enough, tell them you are another person answering the phone for you, it is not your phone and say you are deceased. I have found that helps stop it in a lot of cases. I was going to try it here but they put the phone down too quickly.

Was called by an aggressive man who knew my address and told me they were sending me a cheque for £3500.00 for the discomfort I suffered in a recent car accident. SCAM Claiming to be from Sky technical services, reporting a fault with my internet. Asked about my broadband speed, I responded with he should be able to tell me that. I asked him if he was calling from Sky, he should be able to identify who I was, & he claimed to only have my number, not my name. Then I asked why he thought I had Sky. He then hung up!

I have been phoned at least on 6 occasions from this number, it always hangs up when I answer, I have returned the call but just get put on hold, shocking that this still goes on after all the convictions regarding unsolicited nuisance calls
