I said I did not think so, and when he asked why I was saying that, I replied that he sounded like someone from the Sub Continent trying to put on a British Accent. He told me to F*** OFF and hung up.

The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.
