Someone called me saying they were a Dr Steven from Alcoholics Anonymous. Offering me help. Saying they had a photo of me from a party where I was the worse for wear from drink. I am nearly 70, housebound & do not drink. They were very persistent and I had to hang up

SCAM / SPAM claim to be from Pro Optimal Gudiance calling about a car accident.
According to this site this number is from Easingwold, Yorkshire, in the UK. I do not know anyone in this area and they did not leave a message, so presume its a scam type call and classed it as annoying. If callers are not prepared to leave a message and just drop a call after a few rings it seems to me that the caller wants you to ring them back and who knows what that might lead to.

Called early evening but I didn’t answer. Thought it was ‘more of the same’ and search in this website proved me correct. Shame there’s no way of stopping them. I am afraid to answer calls all because of organisations like this.
SUPER RUDE human being - and I use the term loosely. Has been rude, aggressive, and generally made a twit of himself to most of my colleagues. Apparently he is calling back tomorrow "before time runs out" on whatever it is he won t tell me about. I think I ll give him the number of one of the PPI pests I ve blocked and let them talk garbage to each other!
He spoke very fast. When I said no I not want to take the survey. He became aggressive and died I was waiting his time. They phoned me 11 times on Monday 17th July

It's genuine, but always call the bank directly!! 08453510271 and 08453510193 are automated calls from Halifax. They say your full name, and confirm if you have carried out the transactions specified, and ask for date of birth, if you did not carry out the transactions your call will be forwarded. To make sure it was real, i hung up and went on their website to get a phone number to ring them directly, and i actually did have some fradulant transactions on my card, so they cancelled my card and sent a new c

Fraud, some number from London called me claiming there was a warrant out for me for tax evasion. Which for a first point, pretty much isn't possible as I'm employed with a large company who do my taxes for me. This is the UK after all, I don't do that myself. And second, after I gave my name I asked what organisation it was that was calling me before I'd be willing to continue and they just hung up on me.
