Just answered a call from 01618505897 purporting to be from HMRC (hahaha). I didn’t listen to the message. Couldn’t be bothered really because I knew that it was bogus. I really wish something could be done to stop vulnerable people receiving calls like this. I have received many emails telling me that I am owed random amounts of money and I need to complete the attachment. I can email these to HMRC to deal with and thankfully they do but the same cannot be said about these phone calls.

Silent call I have been rung around 10 times over 2 days feom this number. They hang up very quickly and it is not possible to ring them back. When I was quick enough to pick up their call, there was no one, so a silent call.
Rang at 1612, on a landline I have never used, rang out. I did 1471 to get number WGC as others, dead line when I called number, just ignore and block.

Called from this number 08.31 today - caller claimed to be from my bank and that there had been suspicious payments on my bank card. This was followed by the usual requests that I press numbers to confirm or reject these payments, I did neither just hung up and checked my bank information.
