Called re: a (fictional) car crash that my housemate was supposedly in (bill payer for the phone line). Only have his title and his last name. When asked when the accident happened they say 'in the last few years' and when asked for the address of the company they only say 'South West London'. When I said that we were registered with the Telphone Preference Service and the unsolicited call was illegal and could they add the number to their Do Not Call list, they hung up

This number has called me twice today, both times no one spoke when I answered and then the phone went dead. Do these people think we have nothing better to do than answer calls when there is no one on the other end. Obviously automated dialling systems so their operators do not waste their time. What sounded like a VERY stoned man claiming I had had an accident and wanted me to make a claim. Could not seem to understand the seven times I told him I had NEVER had an accident and to stop calling! Has called 18 times this week! Only way to stop them is to answer and tell them to sod off!
