SCAM I have this afternoon received a telephone call purporting to be National Grid Meter Department and confirming a date and time to change meter as they said it was over charging. Suggested a refund available since last year of £652.23 Offered a booking slot and advised the new meter number as E14UP04L89. SCAM the called stated he was from National Debt Solution and gave me their website as www.nationaldebtsolution.co.uk told me the Government had sent him my details for a debt write off program. Then wanted details from me !! Total scam and in breach of the rules set out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), including specific guidelines about how they contact you. If you're cold-called by these muppets unsolicited your can and should make a complaint..

Kept calling back when I told the heavily accented person on the other end of the phone to go away and that I didn't want to talk to him. Would not tell me why he was calling. Finally threatened me that he would send people round to my house to deal with me.

Fraud SCAM Automated recording bank card has been used twice. Once for £300 Amazon and second for £1100 (some unknown company) press 1 to report .... I hung up definitely scam.

Trying to get me to sign up for online trading, wouldn't take no for an answer so hung up and blocked the number.

01267279578 Beware it's a scam! It's a phising phone call, spoofing a local phone number, usually made by a computer. DON'T SPEAK if you don't recognise the number - JUST LISTEN, wait for them to speak first. If the caller just hangs up or only a crackling noise is heard and then hangs up, then congratulations you've just escaped being scammed. Well done!

Phishing. Be carefull, don't pick up, block immediately if you notice the attempt to contact you.

had a call pre-recorded call from this number claiming someone was trying to carry out a transaction for £900 from my Visa Debit Card (not specific about which one) and asking to confirm if it was me. Seems dodgy.

SCAM message received 14/02/24 appearing in same text message thread that I receive from Lloyds Bank. It provides a one-time passcode for a purchase that I had not made to FENDI LTD. It tells me to contact them on 03333392763 if I had NOT made the purchase. I did not call them, instead I contacted the fraud dept. of Lloyds Bank. Had I called the number in the text, it is likely they could have accessed money from my account. SCAM

Called me saying they are the Carphone Warehouse and were trying to get me to buy laptops, phones and tablets. The line was pretty rubbish so I'm not sure if this was a scam as I'm sure the Carphone Warehouse don't just randomly call up numbers.

Fraud - didn't know their own website - just asked me to goggle their name, and claimed the website I quoted, later in call i gave a different website and they also said that was correct (it wasn't !).

Automated call said they were from the bank and suspicious transactions had happened. They gave amounts (£1100 from Western Union and £700 from Amazon) and then told me to press 1 for ... etc. Fraud SCAM
