I couldn't understand the Indian sounding voice so hung up. So far they have phoned twice in the last two days and several times in the past. The strange thing about this number is the area code 01950 does not fit with the 693572 telephone number. 01950 codes telephone numbers start with 431, 460, 461, 422 or 477. "Virgin Media Technical Support", telling me that there was an infection on my router, tried to get me to run the ASSOC command - this is a well-known introduction for a scammer to convince his mark that there is a computer problem. In fact, ASSOC will do nothing useful at all - they will then want you to install a remote control program so they can "fix" your computer, whereas what will happen is that they will steal your details, banking etc., and/or install ransomware which locks you out of your computer

It was a woman who said she was from microsoft and that my pc had been sending them reports it had been hacked. The pc hasn't been on for weeks and microsoft software doesn't send these reports. This is a scam to get them access to your computer. Do not give them any personal information.
Unsolicited call from RTA Legal Advice - I didn t answer but they left an automated voicemail. Have blocked this number now.
