BT sales, would not take me off list
Supposedly from Microsoft. There was a problem with my hardware/software. They wanted me to turn on my computer and talk them through what was on the screen. Obviously a scam, not sure if it was for money or data, but I continued talking to them without giving any details until I had found my school whistle and then blew it down the phone (loudly) at them. I work in a large infants school, I have a good pair of lungs :-)

After all the complaints, it beggars belief that these scammers are still using the same phone number and not been arrested. We are a computer repair business and have 2 telephone lines. Got a call on line 1 from the scammer (Asian male) who announce that my computer had problems!!! He was told in no uncertain terms to do something rather harmful to himself. Get CPR CallBlocker for less than ?40, it stops pretty well anything; overseas, unavailable, withheld, private & any displayed numbers too. With capacity for over 1000 numbers it s far better than registering with TPS or such useless companies.

This number sent me a message claiming to be from PayPal. Asks me to follow a link to a page where I need to verify my identity to regain my account as they have limited it - I have the PayPal App and my account is not limited. DO NOT FOLLOW THE LINK AND DELETE MESSAGE!

SCAM Male speaking accented English claimed to be from BT. When I started asking questions, he hung up on me.
SCAM!! Avoid avoid avoid do not answer, the person on the other side of the phone is trying to get personal details along with information on life insurance and bank details! This has been reported to the police and hopefully the scammer will have their phone blocked! Do not answer this telephone number under any circumstance!

Fraud. Got a text supposedly from GOV.UK with an https// click-in, advising me that they have identified me as being eligible for a discounted energy bill under the energy bill support scheme. Mmmm how did they know my number? why didn't I get an official letter/mmmm. No surprise really it's a fraud scam, the government doesn't text you to tell you they are giving you money,and as far as I know will never do this anyway. Why aren't they traced and shut down?
