Said that the latest Windows update had downloaded incorrectly meaning that people could access my computer and so could I please get my computer out for them to talk me through what to do. I've heard of this scam where they will pretend to help but really talk you through downloading something which will allow them to access your computer. I blocked the number when the call ended. Man with an indescribable accent, stating he was from citizens advise !! said he had received my details regarding a debt payment plan, he asked me if I had a debt management plan when I said NO he hung up !!! I do not have any debt !!!!

An Asian sounding woman claimed she was from BT and was she speaking to the person who pays the bills etc. I said no, but my husband would be home at 6.30pm so call back. The woman immediately said that it was important information she had that our computer has been hacked and this could be dangerous. I said no thanks and put the phone down. Considering I don't have a computer I can only assume this was a dangerous scam for others to watch out for.
