Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

He was wanting to start feeding me more information about Dyson after already mentioning I do not own one. Was there any sense in that? I had to then again remind him that due to me not actually owning one, then I am no use to him. I presume he couldn t end the call and was waiting for me to let him go. So I got to waste his time a little too.

This person claimed to be an officer calling from 'the HMRC' claiming that I had paid insufficient tax- revealed apparently after a 5 year audit (I owed £3999.99 allegedly). This wasn't true of course. DO NOT EVEN SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE. Do not transfer ANY money. They will try and prove themselves by calling you back on a number that IS the HMRC number but this of course has been manufactured!
