An Asian male going by the name of "Mark Bradford" rang is claiming our broadband was going to be disconnected due to suspicious stuff happening on our homehub. He gave me a BT identification number and the phone number to their call centre, when I informed him I was going to verify his credentials, he told me to ring via mobile and that if we hang up the landline, he'll disconnect the Internet then hung up. Interesting. Claimed to be from Clancy Consultancy. Asked if I had been involved in an accident. There was something about the way the voice responded to questions that makes me about 95% sure I was dealing with a bunch of voice recognition auto response machine or someone sticking very closely to a script of prepared answers. Unfortunately TPS isn t any use for these scum as they weren t selling anything. Number blocked.

Just hang up as there is no identification to suggest they are real and there are no confirmed names or card details to ensure it is you or your card. All very open to you giving them more information should you decide to press any buttons and engage with them!
