I am getting numerous calls on a daily basis from 020 numbers - this one is the most frequent. Never leaves a message and when I answer no-one is there.

Why doesn t anyone do something about these calls? They really do annoy a lot of people and I am sure someone somewhere can stop these scammers. Why should we allow this to happen with the technology we have today? They are out to commit fraud and they should be stopped. So let us all get together and do something and just go along with whatever they ask but give them a lot of lies. JUst give them a false name and keep them on the line for as long as you can. Was a S. African woman that called me, after I d flagged fraudulent charges on my card, when they d billed me over 30 quid a week after I d cancelled. Absolute SCAM, the company is registered as being dissolved since April 2018 with Companies House, she was aggressive and patronising in her manner, and kept asking if I knew what I was talking about, she only stopped when I told her that my bank was involved and they d found the company had no gambling license as well.

British Gas. calling me for months. First from Manchester. Got apology. then it starts again. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BRITISH GAS. If this is how they market, what must their service be like????!!!!. I don t have an account, never had one DON T want one. Maybe I could be murdered for writing this. British gas stinks.

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.
