Male, strong Asian accent telling me I have a problem with phone line and internet. Suitable words were exchanged then the caller hung up.

They ring up every week asking if you?ve updated your gas and electric meters to smart meters. They've phoned our small business 7 times in the past 2 days to try and sell utilities. It's a massive call centre.

I received a call from a man with a very strong accent claiming to be from BT to help speed up our broadband. The fact that he greeted me saying ?hi I?m Martin? then 5 minutes later told me his name was John Wilson, was a huge red flag. I can confirm that this is a scam call number as I called the real BT to confirm the number was not affiliated with them. Do not give out any information or allow these scammers access to your computer!
