Rang twice and hung up. I saw it was a premium number so did not answer. The best way to notice a scam call is when the caller asks for you by surname (which they cannot pronounce) probably because the forename is not mentioned in the records as they see them. Then scammers ALWAYS ask how you are, which is often when they try pulling up more details from the records.

Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. SCAM Received a voicemail today from this number - 02039667956 - saying that my Amazon Prime account has been compromised and that I have been charged £350. I don't have an Amazon Prime account. It then gives the option to cancel the order by pressing 1 or go through to Amazon Fraud team by pressing 2. This number has been used for a previous scam which came up on the FCA website claiming to be a different company (when I entered the number into google that's how I found this bit of information).

Called asking for the man next door who I know has a debt as he has given my address and many letter have arrived here for him, which I take next door. It is to do with a parking ticket and I have had bailliffs at the door too and told them where he lives. Therefore I think this is a legitimate call. But they wouldn t say how they got my number and I m really fed up about the number of times I am being bothered about someone else s problem.
