Same experience as all below - when I questioned how they got my number they hung up abruptly.

Caller knew my name and said he wanted to discuss fall in pension values. Asked him how he got my name and number - he said through a third party.

Left long message on answering mach. Serious law suit against me unless I rang. Robotic voice, Americanized pronunciation & legal phrases. Did not specify name of myself or partner. Again Jennifer Coleman from HMRC. They would write to named person, cause of action letter, would never leave message as don t know who would pick up. Could scare people into ringing them back. looked this up. apparently its a foreign scammer that hacks into local masts to make u think its a local number as your more likely to answer. not sure if this is true but too many missed call.if genuine leave a message!

This number rang me saying I had been in an accident last year and my number was on the accident database. The guy called Jason then said there was an unclaimed payment due to me from the otherside s insurance company. I ve had no accident and no one owes me any money. I hate these calls!!!
