Call center. Couldn’t hear him so hung up
A female voice answered and said I am being sued. I put the phone down thinking it was a scammer. But 1471 revealed it was a genuine number. Who could it be.
Cold caller claiming I was scrapping my vehicle and wanted to arrange collection. Hadn't got any details and wanted mine. Hung up.

SCAM / SPAM I received a call from 0121 568 1925. This is an automated service, claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs in respect of an investigation into your tax fraud. It asks you to press 1 and says if you don't, that a warrant will soon be issued for your arrest. Hang up and block the number, DO NOT PRESS 1.

I had this number, and all i do is turn my landline on silent and only use it as a one way call, and if someone gives you a rough time of calling you, you will see the light go on when they are calling or use the landline as a one way, calling out and your mobile to take calls, you can get phones that block numbers, and only let the ones you want through. Call to my landline, with heavy Asian accent, for Mr.Whale No-one of that name here. This call was preceded by three others at 15 min intervals, with no-one speaking when I answered - all of which had no caller number given when I dialled 1471 & I suspect are from the same party

SCAM Asian woman, noisy background, saying she was from Virgin Media ringing about internet fault. I told her in no uncertain terms to go away.
Scammers!!!! They called my grandmother regarding a PPI claim, telling her in order to claim she would need to put £400 on a travel card (this was their agency 'commission' apparently), and they would come to her home (beware, they already knew her address) to exchange the travel card for her "PPI compensation cheque". Thankfully we've taught her well and she called me first to ask if I thought it was a scam.

They called me on this number around 1pm. I missed the call and they didn t leave an answerphone message.
SCAM. Insurance claim related scam. Claiming to be on behalf of Aviva. Rang from a similar number that I had blocked previously. Rang on Christmas Day on a special number that I have that noone knows about outside a small circle of family members (hence my answering thinking it was a Scottish family member - Glasgow number), so they must be getting number to call from EE direct as they asked for me by name. Worrying.
