Spoke to "Dave" and to "John" who had so strong Indian accents, I think, and the background chatter in what was obviously a call centre that it was very hard to understand them. Both assured me that they were not selling anything but asked lots of personal questions. Couldn t answer any of my questions other than they got my name and address from UK publically available database.

SCAM 0141729 8573 After initial silence, caller said his name was John and he was my local energy adviser in my area. I asked where he had got my number from as mine was X-Directory and he shouldn’t have it. As I was asking him to delete it he kept forcibly talking over me. I hung him. Blocked his number with BT. SCAM Didn't get a call from this number but it is shown on a small value (£0.94) package received in the post this morning where the addressee is not known at this address. Spoke to the Company which was quoted on the package as sender - One World Economy - and they have confirmed that they are a forwarding company for E-bay and were asked to send this on behalf of a Chinese company. Seem soo be a brushing scam as another package also received this morning from a different sender egis time value £0.08.
After searching on line for energy and insurance comparisons this numbers has been ringing several times a day. I have not answered it.
"Manor Financial", I think. Usual PPI stuff. The chap quickly realised I was deliberately wasting his time, so I only managed to keep him busy for 46 seconds, sorry.
