Got a call from this number, picked up, heard background noise, I said hello twice, the other side hung up on me. Maybe they are cheery picking (maybe someone who sounds like older people)?

They called me saying they could handle my ppi claim (I don t have one). They spoke in an Indian accent and when I questioned who exactly they were and who I was speaking to they hung up. Some sort if blatant scam.

very dodgy! I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!

Say they are Employment agency however the conversation revolved around getting details of interviews I had been to and referees so suspect they are not genuine just looking for contact info

Calls from "BT" and "Openreach" are always scams as the real companies will never call you unless you ask then to.

Had a call from this number just now. He said that he is from EE and started asking a lot of questions about my contact with EE. The sort of phone I am using, how long the contract is,...etc., I got suspicion because EE should have all those details without having to ask me especially as I am still in contract with them. Spoke to a girl who helped me with a some mortgage protection and illness cover for me and my husband which included some cover for my kids, she had to call around due to my husband recent appendix removal, but got us a policy after a day.
