This was an automated call claiming to be from a bank (unspecified), warning me about two purchases through Amazon, on my bank card. I had a similar call for a local number earlier in the day. I didn't click 1 or 2 to authorise or to get help. Apparently the number is a landline in Bangalore!

Received a call today from 01942538691 which is actually a legitimate number from Brook Farm Cattery in Wigan. Only problem is the people who phoned me were Indian speaking and said they were from UK Benefits, PHYSHING for information in pretense of dong a survey, the information of which they then sell on to other companies and you end up getting bombarded with other unwanted calls.

Blocked this number and many others. My bill isn t due until 2nd of July and they are ringing me and pestering me to pay they aren t getting anywhere since I have until Thursday to pay! They are very aggressive and I end up hanging up because they don t even give me chance to tell them I have until the 2nd to pay! Worst thing I ever done getting a card from them. I don t even use it anymore just paying it off. Do not get credit from them! Vanquis are awful.

Did not answer (standard practice for these London numbers not in his directory ED.), no message left, came here, found I was not alone, so going to block. This number attempted to call me twice today, once at around 10:00 am and a second time at 1:00 pm. I picked up the latter call and the guy wanted me to confirm who I was, I asked for further details (without confirming mine) and the man said his name was 'Arnold' but refused to tell me anything about the purpose of the call. He then got annoyed that I wasn't prepared to confirm my name. I pointed out that his call was unsolicited and rang off.
