Called this morning just before 8.30 am. As the number was unrecognised it was allowed to go to the answering machine. The call was terminated almost immediately.

I was cold called and told that as I was under 65 and drawing a deferred company pension I was entitled to a £1,000 pound payment. I asked who this was calling and all they would say was The helpline . I told them that I was registered with Telephone Preferences and that I should not receive such calls. I further told them to remove my name from their database.

Second call received from John at computer maintenance. First time when I told him that there wasn t a computer at this number he hung up, hoped this would deter further calls. But following day different time he phoned again told him that still didn t have computer and wanted to be taken off their database at which point he hung up. Waiting to see if they ring again.

Arseholes keep calling as if they have some right to do so. Not interested in their licence and, if you check the web, you will find they are trying to catch you into getting a licence.

Sounded like a call centre. Name of Kayley with a London accent. About extending warranty on my washing machine. My correct name and address was quoted but no specifics regarding make or when washing machine was bought. She didn't identify which agency she represented.

Had a call from 07894865338 from someone asking for me by name and claiming to be from the Citizens Advice. I thought he was saying he had been contacted because I had reported a dead person, I asked him to repeat it, which he did. His accent was very thick and from seeing this site I think he was trying to say I had reported a debt problem !!! He hung anyway...

Just been called by this number to inform me my emails are being used by someone in the usa and if I follow his instructions through my computer we can solve this together. Bloody nice chap! However I do know that once connected to your computer they can lock you out unless you make payments to them. SCAM me thinks. Called to say I had been working in a factory in Blackburn and had health issues. I asked what details they hold and specify the health issues - they could only confirm the name and mobile number. Very rude person & called back numerous times.

Recorded message from a woman with an American accent pretending to be calling from HMRC, telling us or our solicitors to call her back or face legal action if we ignore the call. The call was made from the phone number she was telling you to call back on.
