The caller had old personal details for me (more than a year old), and was trying to find out if I d been missold insurance with a loan or credit card in the past. They have called several times.

I keep getting calls from these people. They say they can dramatically reduce business rates and make all sorts of claims and promises then you get a contract that is nothing like what they promise on the phone and you will be left with a bill to pay of around £500 and no proof that they misled you. Forever calling my 11yo sons mobile, this being a new mobile contract. Clearly cold calling and continue to harrass us, idiots! From now on I answer, appearing to be my local Police Authority. I ve done this with others and they promptly hangup and I never receive a call from them again. As for the TPS, complete waste of time. I and many others had an increase of calls once added, even on a completely new line where nobody had the number as it was used as a broadband only line by us.
