Appears to be spam: called us offering to renew our Amazon Prime account - we do not have one!!
They pretend to be from talktalk or BT and tell you that your computer has a virus and they need to download remote control software so they can fix it. In reality they are going to try and steal your bank and credit card details.

I’ve experienced a very odd phone call this afternoon. Automated phone call as soon as I said “hello” the automated phone call started. “Your name has been used in a fraud claim, from the HMRC. The caller had old personal details for me (more than a year old), and was trying to find out if I d been missold insurance with a loan or credit card in the past. They have called several times.

SCAM. Insurance claim related scam. Claiming to be on behalf of Aviva. Rang from a similar number that I had blocked previously. Rang on Christmas Day on a special number that I have that noone knows about outside a small circle of family members (hence my answering thinking it was a Scottish family member - Glasgow number), so they must be getting number to call from EE direct as they asked for me by name. Worrying.
