Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

Called me claiming to be from Sky, informing me that malicious individuals are trying to hack my router. I played dumb and allowed them to get to the part where they wanted me to install TeamViewer to gain access to my computer. I gave them an earful about preying on vulnerable people, but it will have had zero effect; I just hope I cost them more money in call charges than they were expecting.

Had a call from 01497 874850. From BT Openreach regarding untrustworthy downloads from Facebook / Google. Wanted me to connect to a page on internet to check security has not been compromised. When challenged (ie no problems noticed, I would not connect to any page while on the phone - I would contact BT myself), they hung up. Obvious telemarketing / scamming.

I had placed an ad on gumtree selling a pram . The above person txt me from ?+44 141 280 7229? and ?+44 114 359 9246? saying they wanted to buy the pram and for me to email them on [email?protected] I did then they said they had cancer and that would be sending an agent for the pram once they had paid me via PayPal. Same as Freddie, given by someone on a dating website claiming to be someone they are not. Scammer, wanting money, lots of stories about why they need money- not who they say they are DO NOT TRUST TIMEWASTER.
It is my BB provider and they ask me 2 charaters out of the security question I set up with them and my surname for data protection before discussing my account. I must say the person I spoke to was friendly and actually gave me a discount on my current deal, did not try n sell me more stuff which was good.
SCAM / SPAM says there HMRC and that there is fraud on your account don't listen to then hmrc will send you many letters before they ring you.

PaymentShield Harassment Calls Warrington Area Code 01925598604. This harassing company called PaymentShield calls me at least 3 to 4 times a day between 12:00 to 16:00. Do not give them your DOB or any other details, apparently it may be a scammer watch out. Calls from "BT" and "Openreach" are always scams as the real companies will never call you unless you ask then to.
Left a voicemail couldn't tell you what they said as they spoke Chinese or something and played weird music in the background very strange indeed.
