Calling that 0800 number says they are Stellar a partner of BT, and to call BT on 0800 028 2272. Don t bother if you aren t on BT. They ll tell you "you aren t on BT, we have no record of you!". Useless. A websearch for Stellar suggests 01294 225300. Calling that number: 1) they confirm the 0800 044 5265 caller ID is them calling on behalf of BT. 2) They ll remove our number from

Got called today by a female with a Scouse voice stating that she was form "Fresh Contacts" and asking if I am been in an accident. Funnily enough (and the truth, but may use this excuse even so if it changes for me) I don t drive, so I told her this and then she proceeded to ask if I had been a passenger in an accident or if I had been on public transport. None of this was true, these are scam calls, she mentioned that my details were on the "National Accident Database", which may I add- does not exist. Bl

Have not had a SKY account in my name for many years (5+) after I cancelled it. Current SKY account (Again 5+ years) in my wife s name and paid by direct debit. We have been charged by BT 7 times since January. I contacted BT in April, who insisted we made the calls. We don t know who this persons is, have never called them. Eventually they said they would take it up with Complaints. Nothing heard. Our latest BT bill shows two payments for this number - about to complain yet again. Is it significant that the calls are always 24p.

Ooh you're so cynical! Take it as a compliment. They might be genuine - liking the look of your house and hoping you'll contact them if you decide to sell.
