My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. Started with hard sale on Carbon emmisions and he unfortunately has since gone on to invest large sums of money in gems and oil. Portfolio of investment was supposed to go to auction Dec 13. Suprise however - company states had to stop trading as under investigation but investment still safe!! Have since reported to police/action fraud but feer money gone ( life savings). This is a scam. Number repeatedly calls, leaving broken voicemail message, starting: "...county courthouse" and inviting you to call back. On returning the call the individual answering identified themselves as HMRC and proceeded to ask for personal details. When I said I wasn't prepared to give any personal details over the phone, they told me to "get lost" and hung up. Be wary out there folks!

Just called me regarding an attempted transaction to John Lewis. Said my account was ‘under attack’ and there had been several suspicious transactions. He said he would escalate my case to Level 3 fraud, set up a new account number and sort code with a random generated name. Phoned Santander fraud department who confirmed my account was safe - the scammer then called me back ‘No Caller ID’! so I told him in no uncertain terms that he was a scamming bastard and he could go forth and multiply.
HSBC So HSBC are now sending warnings about your bank account from a Vodaphone mobile number? Probably the most amateurish attempt I have seen to get your bank details. Sad, sad scammers.
