Called at 12.11 today. Claimed to be BT ringing about my internet connection. A foreign sounding female voice, and chattering in the background that sounded like a call centre.
call came through & was a call centre ,however as soon as I spoke they hung up, doing 1471 you actually get 01709276998 as the last callers number.

See previous comment. These Jingly bar stewards just call a slightly different number making the BT call blocker a complete and utter waste of timer. BT are just a bunch of fraudsters as well and will do nothing to prevent these nuisance calls as are the Government and Offcom. Another valid point is that when someone states on their merchandise "STOPS UP TO 99% OF NUSIANCE CALLS" I would suggest that 1% is up to 99% and they should be prosecuted under the Trades Description Act.

020 7917 0600 called and left a message, saying that i's from HMRC, and if you don't return the call you run the risk of getting arrested. Not sure about this call that I just took from this number, said it was Kitchen and Bathroom News which as a Kitchen company I do,get this magazine but this is not the telephone number that relates to that magazine. The only question that I found strange was they wanted my mothers birth month. I don t use this anywhere so don t think with this small information they would get anywhere.
